Come One, Come All and Welcome!

I would like to welcome all of our readers to From Maine to the Mouse! Please browse around, read our posts, peruse our galleries maybe even drop a comment or suggestion or two. If you have time visit our community, introduce yourself, talk for a bit, share your experiences or advice and know that you are among friends. As I sit to write even this post I am finding it difficult, not because I don’t have anything to say but because I don’t know where to begin. With that I guess I should just start at the very beginning.

I live in Maine, have for all my life but for more than 20 years I have been making regular pilgrimages to one of the only other places that I may be able to call home, Walt Disney World. I’ve traveled there by car and by plane, have been during the hottest of summers, through the holidays and with spring in the air. I’ve been by myself, with a couple of others and, in a few weeks, with more than a dozen people. I’ve been with infants, kids (and big kids), siblings, aunts, parents and friends. These pages aren’t going to just be about me and my trips, although you’ll get a lot of that, but you will also get to read a lot of great posts, reviews, trip reports and more from many MttM contributors who have been traveling to Walt Disney World and other Disney parks and experiences for as long or longer than I have.

Walt Disney holds a special place in my heart and his ideas and what he was able to accomplish in his short time on earth are truly magical. We will work to try to capture and create just a little of that magic here on these pages. If you have a question or comment, feel free to post them below each article or in the community forums and we’ll try to asnwer as many as we can.

Thanks for coming and staying awhile.
